The Pilgrims celebrated the first Thanksgiving feast in 1621 to celebrate their first successful harvest in the New World. Brines happen to be alkaline. Instead of adding the extra sodium from brine, tenderize your turkey with turbo alkaline water by soaking it for 30 minutes before cooking.

First, sanitize your kitchen sink. Then, fill the sink with enough alkaline water to completely submerge the turkey. Finally, soak for 30 minutes. The alkaline water will go to work, penetrating the meat and adding extra moisture for a delicious, homemade turkey dinner.

1 cup Tyent Alkaline water

¼ cup lemon or lime juice

1 tablespoon honey

Alkaline water ice cubes

Mix ingredients, put ice in a glass, fill ¾ full with cranberry mix and top with seltzer water. Garnish with whole cranberries and a lemon/lime wedge.

Bonus Tip: Drinking a tangy cranberry spritzer just 30 minutes before your Thanksgiving meal can help prevent overeating. (But, you know, it’s Thanksgiving; eat as much as you want!)
